Statues Must Die (2025)
Kochi-Muziris Biennale premiered Statues Must Die, a one-time performance piece in collaboration with Mallika Taneja. Statues proposes that a flailing masculinity project that obsesses over the control of women’s bodies has proven skillful at hijacking volatile power vacuums after uprisings, taking advantage of civil society’s aversion to the realpolitik problems of the “day after independence.”
